This place makes me feel the past. The ambiance was great. The staffs were very good. Even though the rooms are not that beautiful, you can sleep at ease.

Decent budget rooms with a sense of history, reliable reservations system, friendly staff. The construction site next door is a pain. Given there's a shortage of low budget accomodation in Manila, this is one of the best choices. Book well ahead!

During my booking I arranged airport pickup. Usually that´s cheaper than flagging down a taxi at the airport. I would avoid staying here is you are able to find somewhere different. The rooms are noisy as a result of being open to the interior of the building where people stay up watching tv until the early hours. We checked in...the smell of mouldy wood was terrible...the bathroom mouldy smell was even worse. Kids running & yelling in the hallways. What a cool little place! Beautiful wood panelling and friendly staff make for an excellent budget choice. Water was hot and bathrooms were clean. This is not a frills and bells and whistles kind of place, but for a decent budget stay in Manila it's a good choice.
