MANAGER, Hotel la Corona, Manila: Just back from a stay this week in your even more beautiful boutique hotel on del Pilar Street in Ermita, and wishing to say thanks for a good stay…one again. It was our second visit in May, 2012, and we love room 310. (Hope we can get Room 310 again in late June and early... More

My mother and I stayed at La Corana from May 18th thru May 28th. It was to say the very least an EXCELLANT stay! The employees, full time and OJT staff were absolutely WONDERFUL. Alwas engaging and always friendly and had a smile on their face!! Ian, Harris, Richard and Ryan the Cafe staff were always on top of everything!... More

We were promised that the escalator would be up and running by 1 April. Arrived on 7 April and had to climb 5 floors!!!! No discount offered either! Rooms - we were 2 people sharing - 1 coffee sachet, 1 tea sachet and 1 sugar and so on!! 1 pillow each and no extras in the cupboard ! Were we... More

I stayed in this hotel gain in mid-may to see if the level of services have been maintained at their already high level. In my last review I gave this hotel fairly high marks with the only negative comment being the lack of a functioning elevator. This would not normally be problematic except when you are billeted on the upper... More

My wife and I recently got married in the Philippines and we needed a base in Manila in order to break up our journey to Boracay. We originally choose La Corona because of the reviews on trip advisor and because of the value for money it offered. We actually ended up staying here the 4th, 12th and 17th of May... More

I stayed there twice in May. Te bell staff is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant serves an excellent buffet breakfast and has some very capable employees, the rooms have been modernized but they lack soul, and the front desk staff could use complete replacement. The hotel is on M.H.Del Pilar, in the heart of what once was the red... More

I choose this hotel because I wanted to use Si-Kat bus service , just a short walk . When I arrived at the hotel I was advised that the lift is still not working and the only room available was on the 6th Floor . This was Ok but after my 3 trip up the stairs within in an hour... More

Returning to the Philippines for the first time in 25 years, I'm very satisfied with my stay at Best Western Hotel La Corana, which is in the Ermita/Malate section of Manila. Roxas Boulevard, the ocean, and Robinson Place Mall are all within walking distance. The airport is only about a 20 minute ride away. Ghina and Jenny at the front... More

This hotel is closed to Rizal park, Itramuros and Paco park. It is in a walking distance to those areas but beware of the heat! It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the nearest train station. The red light district is also walkable from the hotel but I didn't see any nearby. The Robinsons Place, the famous Sea Food... More

I love the Philippines and when I'm in Manila I love The Best Western La Corona. The room is great, the service is great, and the food is great. I think you get alot for the price. Of course there's no aircon in the halls.....who cares!! And it's on Mabini Street, but Mabini Street is classic Malate. If you're spoiled... More
