Very interesting from a sociological point of view, if you’re interested in finding out what caricatural post-hippie backpackers look like. Let’s however precise that this involves spending a sleepless night due to the live unplugged concert of some of the local residents, with the bedbugs as chorists. Extra fun is guaranteed when the bulb of the only light passes out... More

I wrote a review about the Agoda Inn, everything new, clean, good mattresses, etc. None of that is true at Le Village, although the mattresses are okay (if not infested with bedbugs, that is), but I still prefer it here. Actually I was asked to pay a week ahead at Agoda Inn or move from a RM19 a night dorm... More

Ended up staying here as it was cheap not the dirtiest of places bathrooms were clean. the rooms however are crawling with bed bugs!! I have stayed in some s**t holes but for bed bugs this has to be the worst!! Also a lot of long time freaks staying there, harmless folk but totally wired to a different planet and... More

15RM a night in a small dorm (3 beds), on the first floor just next to the free tea/coffee. Wifi very good. The room and bathroom are clean. No bedbugs there (As I read in other reviews). They have 2 guesthouse. I'm in "Le Village China Town". The other is called "The Village Bangkok Bank". Only one detail : there... More

- This Bangla guy, Hassan, appeared to be amiable, until enter the dorm bed and touch some females. other days in the living room, he would insert some harrassing elements in between the chatting. - Swamps of bedbugs - smell weeds. there are weed dealers in there. - some travel junkies hang in there long term to get free/friends' special... Stayed here for 4 nights... it was a bit mental. The first night was a disaster, our bed was infested with bed bugs. I got bitten A LOT! However, once we told them about it in the morning they were really helpful, moved us to a better room and washed all our clothes that had touched the bed. I guess... More

Very rough in and out, rooms reasonable, but very friendly guys that run the hostel! Very cheap but for a good reason.

If you have always wanted to stay in a bohemian coop of artists, people who have backpacked for 20+ years, and creative-types, this is for you. It's definitely the most interesting place we've ever stayed due to the crowd that seems to live there. We heard many people say they had been there for months, and rarely left the hostel.... More

Never been to Malaysia before, this was my first encounter. I was about ready to turn and go back home right there and then. All common/hangout areas were a mess. Messy, seemingly dirty, stuff lying around everywhere. Rooms were not much, 1 or two beds, and a fan. AC was not an option. Of course toilet and shower in same... More
