Sybilla and Ian are wonderful tourist and culture advisors, Our room was comfortable and the bath being downstairs was not a problem. We had the upstairs bathroom to ourselves two of the three nights, and, the other night shared it with only one other person. It would have been nice to have hot water in the bathroom upstairs, but not... More

B&B Juno is a small, traditional guesthouse with three guestrooms, but from the moment you arrive owners Ian & Sybilla make you feel like it's a home away from home. There are slippers reserved for each guest and free use of tea and coffee facilities in the house, and you can choose what you want for breakfast - as long... More

Innkeepers Ian & Sybillia personifies B & B Juno's passion for true & complete hospitality. Always eager, willing and able to help us settle into our accommodation and to offer suggestions to make our stay in Kyoto (and its surrounds) meaningful and stressfree - they are indeed the ultimate hosts. 4 of us - me and a couple with their... For a visit of five nights in Kyoto our preferred accommodation was away from the city; somewhere closer to the quieter hillsides of Kyoto. Juno B & B has an ideal location, slightly off a main thoroughfare, handy to buses and a short walk to the Silver Pavillion and leafy Eastern hillsides of Kyoto. Booking online was easy, the website... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of japan. The rooms are traditional Japanese and very light and comfortable. Breakfast was great every morning and the English speaking hosts are wonderful for providing info on where to visit and how to get there. You'll be provided with maps of the city and of local area... We chose the accommodation again based on location and price first. We really wanted to be away from downtown and near many of the sights. Gion area was ridiculously expensive, and after seeing it I can see that it's more Disney version of Kyoto anyway. We ended up at B&B Juno, which I was originally worried was too far out,... More

My husband and I traveled with another couple to Japan and we stayed at the Juno B & B in Kyoto for 4 nights. Our friend had done all the research and reservations and found Juno and, luckily, they had availability for our dates (nice since this was during this year's Gion Matsuri Festival when finding a place to stay... We stayed there on our honeymoon last year. The hostess (Austrian originally) is such a lovely lady, and takes a genuine interest in her guests and helps with everything from planning visits to temples to recommending wonderful cafes. I've never stayed in a place where the host has been that hands-on and helpful. She is a mind of information on... More

My parents and I spent four nights here in April, and had a very enjoyable trip. The B&B is run by a friendly non-Japanese couple who were really helpful and able to give us lots of information about transport, sightseeing and places to eat. Our room was bright and clean, and the futons were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Japan in January 2011 This B&B is a traditional Minshuku that caters mainly to non Japanese visitors to Kyoto. The owners Ian and Sybilla were wonderful hosts and their inside knowledge of Kyoto and it's surrounding areas was invaluable. They went out of their way to help... More
