The hotel has a great location opposite the train station and the main bus terminals (essential to get around kyoto and beyond). We were told that they didnt have any non-smoking rooms left even though we had booked months ago and had arrived early (before check-in time). The room they gave us was awful.! It smelt of smoke (even though... More

Well located, opposite Kyoto station which has excellent shopping. From the hotel you can go up the Kyoto Tower (entry free for hotel guests). Big and lovely temptation are the souvenir shops --there is connecting door form the hotel!. The hotel and the shops have some discount arrangement they will tell you about. Also a free drink on the house... More

Friends and I stayed here together just for one night. After staying in hostels, our stay at this hotel was wonderful. We had a fantastic large room. Very clean and good view. This hotel is in a great location, and we wouldn't hesitate in staying again. All the staff were lovely and helpful also.

Close to the station but so are a number of others in the same price range. Rooms are small and noisy as they face the street and terminus. Tower was closed for renovations so the free visit did not make up for the price. If you are on a budget would suggest as an option.

Unfortunately , the tower is closed for renovation until 1st qtr of next year, so did not enjoy the complimentary visit of the tower. Stayed in a double room .. very narrow and cramp for 2 persons. Terrible smell, had to open the window for ventilation. If you would like to stay in this hotel , advise to get twin room..... More

I thought I walked into a wrong room at first. The room is just large enough for a single bed and a narrow passage. If you close the bathroom door, you won't be able to bend down to wash your face. To get to the desk, you need to climb over the bed. And so many more... The hotel's entrance... More

This hotel although is very conveniently placed, is run-down, definitely not three stars. But what made our impression terrible is that the price we booked it for was increased by $100/night at checkout. Avoid!

Stayed here again for Kyoto holiday. This hotel is conveniently located - just opposite to Kyoto station. Bus terminals (to all major tourist attractions) are just across the road and downstairs is the underground shopping center. This time upon check-in, coupons are provided to each hotel guest to visit the Kyoto Tower for free. Good deal!

This place is overpriced for what it offers. Room we had needs to be stripped back and started again very outdated. Pros - easy to find right outside Kyoto station, free passes up the tower. Cons - Restaurant overpriced for what it offers no wifi was told to use starbucks (located around corner) but you need internet access to setup... More

I loved having the observation tower on top of the hotel to orient myself to the location. I travelled with my brother and we had a twin room on the 8th floor including tickets to the tower. We had a JR train pass so loved the location across the road from the huge building that is Kyoto station. This hotel... More
