During our trip in Japan, we wanted to try a capsule hotel. Nine hours is a real good option for this. The design of the place is just perfect. It's very easy to navigate! But this is not a place you should stay at if you need a good nights sleep... The capsules are divided in two sections and even... More

Nine Hours was a great basic stay. I had trouble finding it on the first night because I went in the wrong direction, but once i figured out where it was, it turned out to be very convenient to go about the city during my stay (behind the train station, next to Family Mart and a electronics store). The staff... More

I have no complaints about the capsule itself or the hotel. My problem is other guests who can't respect the rules and be quiet for two seconds. In the morning I was woken up to Face Time calls and all sorts of cell phones ringing because other people can't manage to live one second without taking calls. Aside from that... More

The overall look was great. The white rooms and basic signs was a nice change from staying in a regular hotel and the entire hotel gave off a very futuristic look. Upon Check-in I was told all about how the rules and how the stay works. I went up in the male lift to access the showers. The showers were... More

As all the other reviewers have mentioned this was a pleasant capsule hotel experience. If you haven't stayed in a capsule before imagine a very clean, very white, slightly claustrophic and very 21st century youth hostel. Towels, toothbrush, pyjamas are provided as are the slippers at the front door. Showers are private, bath is shared, toilets on each floor. All... More

It's the hotel of the future!!! Or, actually, it's simply a quirky capsule hotel in central Kyoto. The hotel is more like a glorified hostel but it's good and cheap and clean and quite the unique Japanese experience I feel. Very convenient location next to bus lines that can take you to pretty much any tourist site in the city.... More

this capsule hotel only designed for a single purpose, take a good sleep, check-in, place your large luggage on 1F, go to the top floor, keep your cloth and stuff in locker, clean up yourself, put on the nightclothe, move to your capsule, take a sleep, that's all, every amenity goods have been well placed so you can get them... A fine example of a capsule hotel. Amazing location. Not ideal for couples as you say goodnight and don't see each other til the next morning on account of being on separate floors. Wi-fi available for free in the small lobby but not on the sleep floors.

We stayed here 2 nights. If you book your room early in Kyoto it prob ends up being cheaper. I have stayed at other capsule hotels before so I get to compare I guess. This place reminds me a bit like a hostel only you need to check out every day which is annoying. Positives - modern cool design, nice... More

9-Hours is great for anyone who want to experience staying at a capsule hotel. It is located close to the main road, providing easy access to the subway, eateries, and shops. The staff members are friendly and speaks English. The white theme kept all the places well lit and was very clean. Also, there is free Wi-Fi at the lobby... More
