Clean, crisp design and well thought out capsule hotel. Women usually aren't allowed to stay at capsule hotels, so it was great to stay in one so modern and well designed. Great location in downtown Kyoto, walking distance to the majority of the main sights. Even though I stayed in May, the pods were very hot at night so I... More

All foreigners visiting Japan should include a night in a capsule hotel, as an unforgettable experience. This hotel is central, clean and futuristic ! It accommodates men and women (on different floors). The sleeping floors are silent enough (except for the snoring) and people coming in and out respected the silence. The capsules were clean and spacious but were not... More

I've been to 9h twice, once when it just opened, and one year later, and I really enjoyed myself both times. It's a wonderful place to stay if you're travelling alone, the location itself is just off Kawaramachi-shijo, which is pretty much "downtown" Kyoto as you can get, with major shopping streets and big departmental stores on that intersection. You... More

Stayed at the 9 hours in April during the cherry blossoms for 1 night and loved it. Was a bit apprehensions beforehand having to sleep separately from my boyfriend but had a great stay. A modern design capsule hotel. Very clean and good price. Felt safe and staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem is if you have a lot... More

Really loved the place. It's great if you want to try to stay at a capsule hotel, but still want to stay at a place with good comfort and nice design. You can charge electronical devices in the capsule, and you can borrow adapters from the hotel. Showers are on a separate floor than the ones that you sleep at,... More

... is actually what is should be called as that's how long you get once you check in, so don't check in before 5-6 or you'll have to be up at the crack of dawn the next day. It takes a night to work out what the heck is going on and how best to organise you belongings as it's... More

It's a clean, modern capsule - hotel, which does not provide any entertainment in comparism with other ones (no tv room, no sauna), but ... do you really need it in Kyoto? Ask for sushi-train restaurant near by. Don't expect big lockers. I would go there again if beeing in Kyoto.

I really enjoyed my stay at 9hr capsule hotel. It is situated right in the centre of the city and in walking distance (20min) from the Gion Area. The capsule hotel is very well designed if you like minimalism and clean, no frills design. When you arrive you place your shoes in a locker and are given a pair of... More

Such cool experience! A capsule hotel and gorgeous design, it is just magic. Your experience starts, as always taking off your shoes. So much forethought has gone into every step of your stay, that you just glide right through. You take either the guy or gal elevator up to your respective floor, and then emerge onto the 'cleaning' floor. This... More
