The staff was always cheerful and friendly. My check-in time last for more than 15 min and they apologised for this and gave me a small packet of cosmetic papers (face oil absorbing ones) of a famous kyoto brand (the one with a caricature woman face logo) as a token of thanks for my patience. This hotel is very convenient to the station and a fair value for what you get. Rooms are a little larger than I expected and normal-sized by Japanese standards, and the bathroom is a common Toto molded style unit. There is a nice buffet in the downstairs restaurant, but it is not included in the room rate.
