“Great location, hard-working staff, but....”

Stayed here two nights with my teen-aged kids. The price is right, the location can't be beat, and the staff is charming and eager to please. But I'm afraid I have to concur with others that for westerners, only the most frugal and robust will love this place. I was here 2 days and nothing impressive. The room big enough with a strange decor. The staff are very helpful but they don't understand much English so so when I ask them something it's hard to explain. No elevator and I have take the stairs all the way with heavy suitcases. Positive: Close to WEST LAKE, very friendly personal ( but wenn you really need help, they seem to ignore you) Negative : The room smell strange and tiny, the badroom look terrible and smell , the worst restaurant that we have ever seen, please go outside to find other restaurant for breakfast, you will not miss the breakfast believe me....
