I stayed here 5 days and found it to be a clean, comfortable modern hotel with very good service. It is a bit away from the popular West Lake area downtown but I liked it as my business was the adjacent convention center and cab riding from West Lake would have me stuck in the very bad traffic of Hangzhou.

Hotel is well maintained, clean and modern. Front Office staffs are very friendly and helpful! Rooms are not spacious but very clean and have nice view on the Canal. I stayed at the Crowne for a week in April of 2011. It reminds me of a new shopping mall in American Suburbia. Clean, shiny, new and cheap if you look beyond the thin exterior veneer.
