It looked as though the hotel was being renovated during our stay (though we didn't experience any related noise), with our room having been updated. This hotel, that could use some updating, has friendly staff and an excellent location. The rooms are basic but a little worn. Ok if you just want to sleep there.

The best thing about this hotel by far has to be the location. It is situated within the city walls of Xian and is within walking distance of all the places I wanted to visit. I travelled part of a tour group and stayed here for 2 nights. This was one of the better hotels if not the best one I stayed in China. For location it is excellent as the shops (inc designer) are nearby, a massive supermarket round the corner. Make sure you ask for directions to find this as it's not obvious.... More
