We stayed in this hostel for 2 nights and 3 days. Everything was just perfect. I stayed in one of their dormitories for only 40 RMB/per night and it came with a free coffee upon arrival and free Calsberg Beer every night. The rooms are warm and very cozy., Sheets are clean and I had a god sleep. Although the... More

Very pretty, boutique-style hostel from outside and in the main areas, beautiful gardens and restaurant area. We stayed in a dorm which was pretty basic but very clean and tidy. we had shared bathrooms but these also were very clean. There are private rooms available. Staff were very helpful and arranged our trip to the panda sanctuary for a very... More

This hostel is a welcome retreat from the Chinese winter. The reception lobby has stylish comfy chairs and very helpful and fun staff. A few courtyards will take you to the cosy restaurant at the back, where I found the food was top quality and beer only 8RMB!! They have a pizza oven and you can cook your own cookies... More

We stayed here in October 2010 and really enjoyed our stay. The dorm room was adequete and the location was very good. The cafe is brilliant and the bar has a great atmosphere. It is a real social place so you will not have problems meeting people. The staff were excellent too. More

My friend and I recently had a very happy time at this hostel. As we only had 2 days, we loved the central location, the friendly atmosphere, the unique decor, the scrumptious breakfast, the ever delicious hot coffee and the helpful staff. Our big hit was going for an early morning bike ride around the city wall. We loved them... More

Arrived after leaving Xiangzimen Hostel which was horribly unfriendly. We were greeted by two lovely ladies who were happy and welcoming (one was called Daisy). We were given a discount on the room because the previous occupiers had complained about a funny smell even though they assured us it was fixed (it was). Free tea/coffee the day you arrived in... Nice location, atmosphere and room. The bar, Park Qin, got very nice ambiance. But is a bit noisy since the bar is at hostel basement! The travelers' cafe serves good breakfast too. Very clean room, but the matress in room was very old. More

Big clean rooms, snug and homely cafe and beautifully furnished interior. Very competent staff and well run tours. All for a great price. My only slight bug was the lack of roof over two of the three courtyards means getting wet feet going to breakfast! Not a big problem... More

This is a great hostel to hang out and drink. That said, the dorms here are bad by China standards. Air-con is shoddy, dorm rooms are dark and damp. There is a nice, but grossly overpriced bar (beer is 20 RMB versus 4 RMB at local bars). Hanwood Youth Hostel is much nicer. More

I'm being generous giving this place a three - it's because of the tours that they are earning a 3! First of all the rooms are VERY DARK! In order to read in the room at night we needed a flashlight - as they lights were pathetic. Secondly, the walls are all paper thin. And random drunk talking loudly (and... More
