I travel to Rostov several times per year and always stay at Don-Plaza. It is very conviniently situated and satisfies all the needs of the business traveller. Very professional and polite staff, internet, what else do you need for a short business trip...

I stay in the Hotel right after the Russian Holidays. There was not much going on in the Hotel so that it was quite comfortaable staying there. The Breakfast buffet is ok and there were plenty of seats to chose from. The Reception Staff was friendly and spoke exelent englisch as well as german (of cause russian too). The room... More

This hotel is the second I have tried in Rostov in the last couple of years and that proved to be a mistake. This place is not for the world traveller as its service seems to cater for the ex-soviet business traveller. Breakfast is absolutely diabolical! European specialities are served in the Aztec and Mein Herz restaurants, with the latter being... More

I opted for the Don Plaza since the Radisson with its nice view over the Don River was closed. The Don Plaza may cater to Eastern European tastes, but lacks the interior design or service that I want to see in one of the top hotels in town. The lobby is not too bad. The location either. Service is rough... More

Air conditioning full with smoke from smoking floors. Breakfast selection is poor. Staff is friendly but not helpful at all. For business is ok, but need a swift upgrade and repair.

Staying there for one night. Whole night was listening for running water in the toilet. Too dark. Rooms haven't been repaired for years. Breakfast is OK with a broken coffeemaker and a glass of champagne to have a good start of a day :-). Staff is nice and friendly. Close to downtown,

staff are fine... rooms are acceptable... no nearby attraction or river front... hotel is large and ugly... be careful you have to pay in Rubbles when checking out and you cannot exchange other currencies out of office hours in the hotel.

We had two nights here with our Retail Conference. The bedrooms were acceptable but the air conditioning noisy. The room is decorated circa 70's in brown, beige etc. The bar in the basement is interesting.................. Put these together and you get the message. (Business men, beer, late night, many men arriving after midnight, young ladies)

Stayed several times at this hotel. The staff has the usual russian problem - they are not customers-oriented. Very few speak English (be prepared!), very few are eager to assist. The most advantage of this hotel to my viewpoint is their breakfast. Very nourishing, wide choice of snacks, beverages, hot dishes. Especially try their pastries! and take some of them... More
