the hotel is operated by sharks on check in i had to pay a registration fee, as a foreigner with 3 year visa i am exempt from this but they insisted on charging me anyway, i never did get my actual documents in return thereby proving i didnt actually need to register, so this was simple theft 2 minutes later... The hotel is huge and it takes time to get to the room from the front desk especially if you are given a room I'm the west wing tower. Very big hotel with amazing panoramic view from 18th floor and two entrances (one is on Fontanka River). Though it is not located on a main street, it is still in historical part of the city. Renovated rooms, built in Soviet times. Perfect breakfast. Fantastic wiev from the top cafe. I do recommend as a former citizen. More
