Well run as are all World Hotels. Super service and food. Adequate rooms. Prime location. Great breakfast. Meeting rooms are ok. Overall the location gives you access to the whole city. We stayed for over a week and were sad to leave. Decor in lobby and restaurant is lovely and understated. Staff are extremely professional.

Far from being luxurious, the Angleterre has the advantages of a wonderful location, with views to the St. Isaac's cathedral, and a helpful staff. The rooms are not large but in an expensive city they are not shabby either. My main criticism is the absence of black-out curtains in a city of a midnight sun in summer.

Excellent breakfast, very kindly and helpful staff, nice spa en swimming pool, no noise from the outside, marvellous view on the St. Nicolas cathedral, the rooms where very clean. The location is very good to visit the city, either by feet, metro, taxi.

Rated as a five-star hotel, expectations were met and exceeded!!! This hotel is across the street from St. Isaac's Cathedral, which is a major tourist attraction in St. P. Most of the tourist sites and shopping were an easy walking distance away. Fabulous restaurants, goose feather bedding, and free water bottles.

Stayed for 4 nights in early may this year. This hotel is in an excellent location for many of the city attractions, many within walking distance. The Hermitage, Nevsky Prospekt, and the Mariinsky theatre all very convenient. Hotel was clean and comfortable, with helpful staff. I've stayed at hotels before where it was advertised as "conveniently located", but this hotel really is perfect for all the main sites of the city. Very friendly staff, always eager to help.... Stayed here with my wife and two children for 4 night. Outstanding location, close to Hermitage, other sights and right in front of the stunning St. Isaacs cathedral, surrounded by lilac trees in bloom. This hotel is in a very good location. It is an easy walk to all the main tourist attractions. The public areas are beautiful. The breakfast was quite good. The prices are quite expensive! The rooms are typical and just average. I would stay here again when in St. Petersburg.
