This hotel is pretty standard. The location was quite nice as it is by the river and one can walk along the river into town - it is not in town. The rooms are fine in that they are clean, but very standard and old fashioned, though I am not sure that there is any better in town. The reception... More

Room not very big. No mini bar or fridge. Free and fast wifi. Bed is soft. No air conditioning but weather during spring is fine. Heater available. Bath comes with a tub and shaver plug point. Breakfast spread decent. Location near to Novgorod kremlin.

Well, the interior didn't impressed me too much the first time I stayed there, but I got used to the way it look (nothing too terrible, just Soviet style). Now I'm a regular visitor I find is as a comfortable place to stay. Not noisy, spacious, swimming pool. The stuff does not always looking welcoming (most of the reception girls/ladies... More

We spent one night in this hotel as our tour traveled from St. Petersburg to Moscow. We found the room comfortable and plenty large enough for two people. Even though the hotel is not in a central location, this was not a problem since we were with a tour and spending only one night. The room was clean and the... More

The hotel entrance was well maintained with lovely gardens. The reception area was spacious and large and staff were helpful. The room itself was okay - basic, but OK. However the Russian heatwaves of July 2010 made the rooms pretty hot as there was no air-conditioning or fans – they had heaters, but nothing for cooling the room. (We were... More

This is a unique place, has very nice art work inside, its next to a small market and close to a mini park next to a river. The beds were a little rough but the service was nice. We had a dinner and breakfast there and the food was pretty good overall. Breakfast is a little more ethnic which was... More

Novgorod is indeed a jewel, clean and polished with a rich and fascinating history. The Park Inn Veliky Novgorod is a popular, perhaps the only, choice for tour groups stopping overnight between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The exterior of the hotel is quite attractive with well maintained landscaping. A local park and a convenience store are nearby. Rooms are extremely... More

This might be the best place in town. Not a first class hotel as promised in our Trafalgar Tour brochure, but at least it is correctly descried as a 3 star. No amenities, no kettle, no internet no refrigerator. The hotel is old but has clean rooms with adequate beds. The breakfast was fine.

We went for a weekend to Novgorod and I had a wonderful time there. It is the best place to get an idea of the Russian culture. The buildings are really beautiful. For my stay we opted for Park Inn Veliky because I have good experience with this hotel chain. This time I am more than satisfied. The food is... More

The town is well worth a stopover between Moscow and St Petersburg. Hotel room comfortable. No aircon ( apparently still common in Russia despite very warm summer) but able to open window widely. Consistent withPark Inn standard, room has no fridge, tea/coffee facilities, in room safe, toiletries. Bed OK, single pillow very small and firm. Front desk staff friendly and... More
