Super location right opposite the Kremlin!! The prices are insane, and service is so-so. Our room was very small with ugly curtains. However the big hotel hall with the staircase is very beautiful. Calling the hotel is a big problem, because they put you on hold for too long and transfer several times before putting you through the right person. More

Shame... Luxury collection is a brand with an exellent reputation, and all its hotels should be perfect. Staying is this hotel was very expensivem but I faced so many problems during my stay. First of all, I got a room with no window!! Then, I was fooled by the conceirge when they sold me ballet tickets at a triple price!!... More

The hotel is nice, but not spectacular. Single rooms are very small and more reminiscent of a school dorm than a Luxury Collection hotel. Bed is great...provided you like it very soft. Work desk is not a serious proposition--too small to hold a computer and some papers. If you want to excape to the public areas of the hotel to... More

Located close to the Red Square, this hotel is beautiful. My room had an beautiful view of the Kremlin. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed with antique furniture and classical decor. The Bolshoi opera is located close by. The metro station is across the hotel, thereby making connectivity across Moscow. The staff is warm and hospitable and went out... More

I can't decide what I think of the National Hotel ? There are some charming old World luxuries but mostly it seems like an old lady hotel that you might expect to find your great aunt staying at. The entire staff through out the hotel is very pleasant, knowledgeable and super helpful, which in this city is not something to... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel National 1/15 through 1/21. We enjoyed our stay; the hotel is literally across the road from the Kremlin and Red Square as well as the Okhotny Ryad Shopping Center which has over 100 stores and lots of dining options, most of which have English menus. Our room was nice and the bed... More

Very good location of this hotel was the main reason we booked it. It was even closer to Red Square than we expected! However, the area is so noisy and overcrowded that we thought it was not the best choice. The hotel is very beautiful, but the we had a small room. Breakfast was fantastic!! Avoid the hotel taxi service. More

Yes: The National is one of the best hotels in Moscow, the icon of hospitality traditions and service in Russia for more than a century (since 1903) – BUT this was a long time ago. Expensive – of course, it’s Moscow. They catch imperfection behind “traditional – historic” and do not provide the suggested standard of a Luxury Collection Hotel.... More

We wanted to get more from this very expensive hotel. The room we were staying at, was very small and not beauiful at all. Everything was so expensive, we couldn't afford any extra services, and payed a big amount of money for the room. But we did not get any satisfaction, and had a feeling that we stayed at a... More

My wife and had an excellent time at the Hotel National. It is literally accross the street from Kremlin and Red Square. It was fabulous to have breakfast looking at the Kremlin and the Red Square. I reckon that the breakfast and the airport shuttle were a bit pricy though. More
