I don't really know what a boutique hotel is, but this hotel probably deserves a fourth star after its renovation that was finished just last week. Our room--and other corner rooms--have floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the corner which provides a perspective I really enjoyed. There seems to be double window and double french door insulation, so if there... More

Plus: - location: quite close to the center of the city - clean room and bathroom - reasonable price - good wi-fi Minus: - small room; decent size bathroom - bad parking; not enough places - in some rooms there was noise during the night from a disco nearby Overall, a good, basic 3* hotel, close to most tourist attractions,... We wanted a cheap but silent hotel without unnecessary extras during out motorbike journey, preferabely with private parking. This is a basic hotel which is situated close to the main tourist attractions. The room was clean and silent (in the eastern part of the building). We could leave our motorbike in the Hotel Capitol's closed parking (which is 50 m... More

A small hotel on a hill. Currently sidewalk construction in front of the buiding makes it hard to park to unload your car. The room is on the small side and the furnishings look dated. Free secure wi-fi. Courteous staff. Bell boy was especially helpful. Certainly adequate for our stay.

I stayed here one night after being injured in Romania (broken humerus). Room was clean, as was the bathroom. I had a room in the back, and it was fairly quiet, although some dogs were barking nearby. No restaurant, but the staff was happy to go to a nearby restaurant to bring me food (menus were in the room). Nothing... More

The room was very tidy and adequately furnished and equipped. I heard the rooms facing the street can be a little noisy but my room was at the back and it was very quiet. Breakfast was nothing special, but adequate. Staff was very courteous. Good internet connection at no extra charge. Location is good, a few steps from one of... More

No matter how friendly staff is or how clean your room is, once it is five A.M. and pounding music and barking dogs keep you awake, slowly but surely all appeal to this potential fine business hotel is lost. I've stayed in this hotel a few times and kept coming back because it has a good location and, when the... More

We stayed at this hotel while we attended my son's wedding in Romania. The family had 7 rooms. The staff was wonderful. They helped us in every way they could and really made it easy for first tme travelers to Romania. The hotel accomodations were good by European standards and excellent for Romanian. There is an elevator to go to... More

Spent a week at the Capitolina taking in the area and found it to be ideal. The services provided were what we wanted - a clean, well-maintained room with good heating and A/C, nice bathroom and sufficiently wide-ranging buffet breakfast. They have good English skills but if you speak to them in Romanian they don't try and show off their... More

I was staying at City Central Hotel (great place) up the street and extended my stay but they were booked so I moved to the nearest hotel, Hotel Capitolina.
