I stayed at this property in August of 2011 while traveling for work. It is within fairly easy driving distance of Empire Farm Days. I think the commute took maybe about 15 minutes each way.
The hotel is good enough to work. There is nothing fancy about the place that I saw, but everything was clean and the service adequate....

Pluses easy to find in the heart of downtown. Friendly staff. Super clean. Very quiet.The food at the Irish pub was great. Nice pool. Lots of parking. While in town see the Seward House, the Tiffany Chapel (forgot it's name), also the big Presbyterian church has a Tiffany window they are happy to show you. Minuses Older property needs updating....

The friendly staff greeted us warmly. The Irish pub restaurant really reminded me of my trip to Ireland. This was an overnight stop on a longer drive but we wound up sightseeing a little in the morning because the location was so convenient. Spacious room and what you expect from Holiday Inn.

Older, clean.. Nothing special. Directly in front of New York state Auburn Prison. Subway and Blimpies across the street. forgetful pub in the hotel.
Place feels like a time capsule circa 1978 or so..... everyhting you remember about the old school holiday inn with a slightly updated prettier face. Take the stairs, the elevators move sllloooowly.....
