I recently returned from Puno and stayed at this hotel. I didn't book too much in advance as I was not expecting to stay in Puno but needed to before and after my trip to Lake Titicaca. This hotel was listed in the Lonely Planet. I was pleased with the room and the hotel overall. The room I stayed in...

Definitely the worst hotel of our trip. Upon arriving at the bus terminal, we were immediately approached by a lady whom we assumed was affiliated with the Posada don Giorgio (whom we had reservations with), as she held up a postcard with its name and picture and offered to help us get there. The hostel is centrally located and provides very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and the group breakfast was comprehensive and very tasty.

This is an odd hotel (but, then again, Puno is an odd place). My room had a comfortable bed, hot water, and a decent price. No complaints.

Very good place to stay in Puno, safe, good location, clean and nice rooms. Excellent shower. Beakfast weren´t so good, but were sufficient. I recomend this place to stay in Puno.

The staff was very helpful. Each morning we had fresh orange juice for breakfast. Perfect location in relation to the plaza and downtown area. Very clean bathrooms and rooms...plus hot water.

Our only complaint is that the water in the shower was not always not. Most of the times it was lukewarm. Maybe it was only our room, but...

The hotel has a nice patio and nice public rooms, but many of the guest rooms have a poor view or no view at all. The breakfast was average. The rooms were OK. Heating was charged separately. Our laundry came back still wet, too late and incomplete. The hotel is close to the touristic center.

After the Inca Trail and cold showers in the jungle, it was nice to go to a comfortable hotel with a great, realiable HOT shower.
Posada Don Giorgio is a good option for the budget conscious. Clean and great service. But be sure to ask for a room that is not next to the noisy restaurant next door.
Only drawback...
