We arrived by boat after a long journey from Lake Titicaca. On arrival at the airport, we were greeted by the resort and taken to their offices in Puerto Maldonado - just a few blocks from the airport. Here we would normally leave some of our luggage - but, the resort let us take all of what we were carrying.... More

I dare not use the words my wife called me when I told her part of our South America trip was going to be a 4 day stay in the Amazon Jungle. For the 3 months before we left home, I suffered - she woke up in the middle of the night telling me we were going to be eaten... More

Overall, the only luxury jungle lodge experience in Peru. The best jungle lodge you can get if you are looking for nice accommodations and cannot live without hot water. Office is Puerto Maldonado is only 5-10 minutes from the airport and they usually don't make you wait long before taking you to the port. While you are waiting, check the Bufferfly... More

Great place. Good guides and food. Day trips are varied and include boating, hiking, paddling, etc. Cabins are nicely equipped and comfortable, but are closely grouped, which limits privacy. Well cared for grounds. Make sure to do the canopy tour that is located on the property.

We stayed two nights before heading onto the other Inkaterra hotels in Peru. Considering you are a 45 minute ride up the river and in the jungle, it's very luxurious. While the no AC With high humidity takes dime getting used to, we weren't in our rooms during the day because of the wonderful activities. Our guide Moses was great!... More

Totally surprised to find charming individual bungalows, king-size beds with fab linens, a ceiling fan, top-quality dining, and exceptional service in the middle of the jungle! The staff is outstanding. They do everything possible to increase your enjoyment. We began with a 45-min. boat ride to the site along the Amazon River seeing occassional birds and small settlements. Relaxing. Arrival... More

My 2 young sons were enchanted in every way at this astounding jungle reserve. It was an experience of a lifetime. The guides, the service, the food, the lodging, the beauty, the beauty, the beauty will never be forgotten,

You first need to understand that Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica is in an "Amazonian jungle" and sits on the banks of a tributary of the Amazon and not the Amazon itself. This was something we missed when we booked. Secondly, you need to be aware that it is an eco-lodge which results in some inconveniences such as restricted use of power... More

The highlights of Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica were the fabulous staff and the food. In fact, the food might have been the best we had during our 10 day stay in Peru. The staff was helpful and the guides very knowledgeable. They encourage everyone to participate in the activities and the guides make these very fun and informative. Activities include: walks...
