During the off season, in April, we were the only guests at the entire lodge. It was great having the whole place to ourselves. The lodge is beautiful, and right on the Tambopata River. If you need home comforts, don't go here. We loved it. The lodge was all it needed to be....it's in the jungle but you need to remember that. No electricity, no hot water. The food was great. An excellent family-run lodge with friendly and professional staff. The food (thanks to chief Claudio) was great. Our guide Carlos and our motorist Carlos were also very nice and helpful. We loved the night 'caminata' in the jungle.
