I stayed here as the island was heavily booked, on the recommendation of a local travel agent. It was expensive at A$1100 for 3 nights including the airfare, however it was an expensive time of year, just after new years eve. It is downmarket, a typical old south sea island resort. Beautiful remote bay and location, I would come back... More

Obviously lovely view from bungalow. We choose this Hotel because of the nearby very good diving school but would probably not return. The rooms are OK but not fantastic, the food in the restaurant is just average and the service - even at New Caledonia standard - is pretty bad. You can get far better for the same price.

if you dont find a place to stay, better sleep on the beach than going there, I acutally bothered to talk to the resort manager and that guy seriously said that all was fine and all those people on trip advisor that give him a bad rating are crazy... I dont even want to start to list all the things... More

If you are going to Ilse of Pines, then this is a great place to stay if you are looking for cheap accommodation on the beach - the only shame is the food. I stayed in the cheapest room (5000xfp) which are old/tired but adequate and clean. There are about 5 rooms in a block, but all have a view... More

We didn't actually spend a nights accommodation at this hotel, however they were the suppliers of a tour we had booked and paid 100% through Caledonia Spirit for lunch, outrigger trip in St Josephs Bay and SUPPOSED to have swim and snorkel at Oro Bay. I totally concur with deswards comments regarding the food. we had 2 vegetarians in our... More

This place is nothing like the publicity. Grubby, old, tired and dismal. The stay was doomed from the start when our hotel driver could not be found and we were the last people left at the airport until someone found him asleep in the bus. The Manager (Stephane) is rude and disinterested and focussed solely on money and inventing excuses... More

We have just returned from 2 nights at Hotel Kodjeue and were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation and the wonderful restaurant. We stayed in a deluxe beach front apartment and it was extremely clean and comfortable and right on the beach. The staff are delightful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant is certainly... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a standard bungalow. We took the ferry from Noumea over and the plane back. Definitely recommend the ferry for at least one leg of the journey as the view of the islands are incredible along the way. The shuttle service was excellent for arrival and departure. It was also great for getting to other... More

Nothing amazing about this hotel.Bungalows are ok, service remains just good, breakfast is quiet good for a 2 stars hotel, fresh croissants, good coffee and plenty of fruits, jam, and ham. However, when you are in paradise you expect much better than this kind of hotel!

As part of a package tour organised by Air Caledonia we checked into the Hotel Kodjeue on the Isle of Pines. Our accommodation was to be a "Bungalow Beach Deluxe" It was neither "deluxe" nor on the beach - although it was close. The bungalow - the last in a line of bungalows was incredibly small - to the point... More
