It is always nice to stay in historical places. We had a nice room, good comfort and the restaurant servers a very good buffet. The bathroom could do with some renovation, on which they are currently working, however it was clean and the service is excellent. more

The building was beautiful and in a great location in the town. The rooms and food were fine for a quick stay and had everything required but little character. We stayed in an upgraded room however as they are doing this in stages it is very dusty in the coridors around the renovations. Safe place to stay if you have... more

This was everything I expected of a hotel - room service was great - the room had a lovely view of the pool and also a door leading outside to the pool. The food was fantastic and just too much (lovely breakfast) and the staff welcome and service was great. Enjoyed the stay and definately would go again if I... more

The facade of the hotel is nice, but everything else is very low standard: the rooms are small and ugly with smelly carpets. The pool is not heated and therefore too cold in December. more

The Swakopmunt hotel is not a non smoking hotel, only some rooms are smoke free. The first room we were given was very smokey, so we requested to move. This was not a problem, but smoke could still be smelt in the smoke free rooms! Other than that the hotel was of good quality, clean with good staff. We did... more

This is probably the best place to stay in Swakop. It's not my idea of the perfect hotel as it's a bit 'corporate' but if this is what you like it'll be fine. Good comfortable rooms, a decent restaurant, quite and well positioned for the centre of town. It's got a nice pool and a casino if you like that... more

I have stayed at this hotel for some nights in December 2007 and really liked it. Although it does not offer real luxury I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely choose this hotel again. The building is very nice as it is the former station which was beautifully renovated. Rooms are nicely decorated and quite spacious, only the... more

Stayed here recently. The hotel is interesting in that it was a former train station. Nice lobby and pool area. The rooms are ok - very "Sheratonesque" - in other words nothing special. I thought the price was a bit steep for what you get but keep in mind there are not many 4 star hotels in Swakopmund so you... more

Perfectly nice hotel, but not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. Rooms were pleasant, but nothing special. Pool area is lovely and location is good for walks to the beach or in to town. Did have a few problems checking in and out, as my room was prepaid, but the hotel had no record of this. Also, the Station... more

The Swakopmund Hotel used to be the old train station and the restaurant attached carries on this theme. The food was fine but not outstanding. The service was good. The room was very comfortable - light and spacious - and ours had a good-sized balcony overlooking the pool area. It was all very clean. The staff were helpful and polite.... more
