The facade of the hotel is nice, but everything else is very low standard: the rooms are small and ugly with smelly carpets. The pool is not heated and therefore too cold in December. more

This is probably the best place to stay in Swakop. It's not my idea of the perfect hotel as it's a bit 'corporate' but if this is what you like it'll be fine. The Swakopmund Hotel used to be the old train station and the restaurant attached carries on this theme. The food was fine but not outstanding. The service was good.
