Although staff are friendly, service was average. The room was below expectation in terms of size and decorated very plainly. Bathroom was a huge dissapointment with no separate shower and rather cramped. Ordered room service which was pleasant and reasonably priced. Breakfast was acceptable and pleasant, but only instant decaf coffee was available. The check-out process was a pain and... More

Definitely the most impressive looking hotel in Swakopmund, this hotel provides a safe choice for a business traveller in this small town. It is probably less suited to family and tourist travellers. As can be expected in older properties in landmark buildings, service left a lot to be desired. Staff were disinterested, and rarely particularly helpful. Breakfast was ok, in... More

The overall appearance of the hotel from a distance looks nice but once you get closer you notice that it is worn and needs some "touch ups". The rooms were very small and a little need of remodeling. The morning breakfast was ok and not much to write about. Poor service. Nobody to help with luggage even if you walk... More

We stayed at the hotel in November 2011. The rooms were adequate with airconditioning and a flat screen tv. The hotel does unforunately not offer complimentary wifi, but you can purchase airtime for hi speed internet access. The breakfast was good with lovely oysters on offer. These are local and are cultivated just 20 minutes down the road at Walvis... More

I had a reservation here for 7 days and I only stayed for a night and moved to the Hansa Hotel across the street. The overall appearance of the hotel from a distance looks nice but once you get closer you notice that it is worn and needs some "touch ups". The rooms were small and a little need of... More

We stayed at the Swakopmund Hotel in July 2011 for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and decor was standard hotel issue. The staff were extremely helpful and were very accommodating when we needed extra mattress for our kids. The laundry service was quick and efficient. The restaurant buffet had all the usual bits and was very appetizing. Only thing... More

Converted railway station hotel, easy to find, great breakfast and English country cottage room decor, we walked in and asked for a discount as it was low season and got 35% off the rack rate More

The hotel itself is well located, within walking distance from the center and the ocean. The room we had was quite nice and was not noisy at all. The restaurant is OK but not outstanding. I found the staff in restaurant more helpful there than in the lobby of the hotel where a few ladies were not helpful at all... More

The hotel is located in a historic building and you can find some good pictures about the old days. The rooms have been renovated and they are modern, well decorated, and with LCD screens. Bathrooms are also modern and clean. Staff was very helpful and an early check-in was possible. The breakfast buffet was very good. It even included fresh oysters.... More

The hotel is in the old station which gives a real sense of history to the place. Theres lots of old photos and info on the history of the building which is a nice touch. Sadly our room wasn't available even after 2pm and we had to wait ~ 45mins. Room was really well decorated and clean room with a... More
