I stayed here with my Acacia Africa group and it was really lovely, friendly and clean. It is really close to the town and is really accessible to the town. There is so much to do around Swakopmund, we did Skydiving and sand boarding! Its such a fun place to be! There are dorm rooms and private rooms and our... More

Like other reviewers, this was a stopover during a camping trip through Namibia. I thought the location was great - everything is walkable! The rooms are small, but comfortable. Shower wasn't great, but it was better than a camp shower. Breakfast was included with the room & good. The staff were fantastic.... friendly, helpful, and interesting. I was able to... More

Spent two nights here after camping several nights in Southern Namibia. Amanpuri is clean and comfortable with great showers. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I'd give 4 stars, but had to subtract one for the wifi....which was useless. I'm sorry, if you advertise free wifi, it needs to work. Otherwise, very... More

If you've been on the road this is a great spot to get a hotel room or a dorm room. The shower is to die for and the beds/bedding is so comfortable. Place is super clean and you can get your laundry done for $70. (all you can stuff in a bag, and you can put lots in it!) You... More

We made the long car trip from Windhoek to Swakopmund to Amanpuri after a safari expecting a standard room with a queen bed and some sort of fan/air conditioning and internet. When we booked we were told all was included, when we turned up this was not the case. Swakopmund is known to be a little cooler than other parts... More

Stopped here near the beginning of an overland tour and was pleasantly suprised. It was of course a nice change from tents and the perfect opportunity to sort my bag, but the place itself was good. The dorm room we stayed in fitted 12 people, and had two nice sized bathrooms. All very clean and spacious. Beds very comfy. Good... More

First Impressions: The facade is bright and colourful. The gated entrance offers guests a level of security. Averaging between 13 GBP pp per night for a 20-bed mixed dormitory up to 30 GBP pp per night for a private room, it is of excellent value among equivalent accommodations. Grade A. Pros: There's a wide variety of room choices. Although it... More

We came here on the way back through Swakop and thoroughly enjoyed it - rooms more spacious than the expensive hotel we stayed in before and has everything you need. Great activities for the more adventurous and good communal areas to catch up with other travellers or just chill out. Great place to stay - Naomi adds that personal touch... More

wonderful, helpful staff. prompt, efficient laundry service if you don't want to use the laundrymat across the street, excellent breakfast, in walking distance of everything -- and fantastic showers, particularly after a week in the desert!

Fantastically helpful staff - Naomi went above and beyond to help when I lost my camera and arranged for it to be sent over to the UK with her friend. I was so grateful and this really shows the hostel's friendly and honest nature...she went the extra mile to help! Facilities were good and location excellent, sharing the site with... More
