You need to ignore the outside and the alleys to get there, but it's a treat once you're in your room. The lobby area doesn't really appear to be used. The roof terrace is a very enjoyable place for breakfast, but the highlight is the waves crashing up against the base of the hotel itself. Built right into the wall,... More

We agree-this is more a Hotel than a Riad - in size. But the atmosphere has the Riad's "touch". The staff greets you at arrival ,smiling and with a helping hand carries the luggage to your room. Through out our 3 night stay they are there for you in any thinkable way -wanting the stay to be as pleasent as... More

What an experience to be literally over the sea and on top of that the room was beautiful and clean and the staff really helpful and nice. We had a great time at Mimouna More

Jolene and I had a chance to stay in the Riad Mimoura for the one night we were in Essaouira last February. We booked a mini suite on the top floor. There were windows piercing the old fortification walls that had spectacular views. At high tide the waves crashed into the seawall 50 feet straight down from our windows. The... More

Last year we fell in love with Essaouira for the wildness of the Ocean, the lovely beach, the fishing port with its array of boats, the diversity and quality of its Restaurants, and its people. We had booked a Mini Suite - room 310 and upon arrival we were offered the choice of 310 and 303. We chose 310 because... More

Whilst not a Riad in the strict sense - more a hotel - the Mimouna was a great place to stay. The views and location are just fantastic and the rooms very nice. We had a sea view and the views and ambience spectacular with the waves crazing immediately below our window. The staff were very friendly, polite and obliging.... More

It would probably be a better riad if it was in a different postion. Yes the view of the ocean is magnificent. Yes the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks & walls of the town are wonderful. However the seedy, ill-lit alleys leading to the riad are very off putting. The smell of the riad leaves a lot... More

My girlfriend and I travelled in Morocco for a few weeks, and this riad was the best hotel experience. It is in the medina, right on the seawall. The staff is very friendly, the place is elegant and stylish, quiet and comfortable. We did the hammam and my girlfriend said it was the best massage experience ever. Our bedroom overlooked... More

We stayed here with friends and family, including young children, totalling 12 people. It looked like a popular choice for groups/tours, but the service and attention we got from the staff was excellent nonetheless. First and foremost, the location of the Riad is choice, because (a) more than half of the rooms had ocean views - our group took up... More

Riad Mimouna is not really a riad, more like a hotel because of the amount of rooms they have. But we really enjoyed our stay here! I would recommend paying a little more for a sea view room. It was worth the extra 40 US dollars. The view from our room took my breath away. When we checked in, the... More
