Whenever possible I choose a Riad with the owner in residence. Jean Gabriel lives on the top floor and is always available for advice, or just an enjoyable chat. His team were also delightful, Samir and Hyat in particular but also the receptionist. My room - Cornut- was ideal for a longer stay of 9 nights, spacious, warm -radiator and... More

I spent four days here as a single traveller and it was the most pleasant four days I have had in a long while. Jean Gabriel and his staff are so helpful and friendly and I had a lovely room. The breakfasts on the roof top where nice and I had two lovely evening meals and it was a welcoming... More

My husband and I spent nearly a week at Riad Watier in November 2011. We booked it with Jean-Gabriel on the spot (we were unhappy with our intended accoms) and we could not have been happier. Since it was the off-season he gave us a great deal. The room (Watier) was spacious, quiet and we had our own little private... More

This is a lovely riad with nicely decorated rooms, a very comfy bed, tasty breakfasts and extremely helpful and welcoming staff and owner, for whom nothing was too much trouble. As well as arranging for a baggiste to meet us on our arrival by bus from Marrakech (which saved us hassle/negotiarion), Jean Gabriel organised for us to get good value... More

We stayed in the month of October. Absolutely unique ! There is a big patio as you open the door, a very well furnished library that Jean-Gabrielle collected over the years. There is a small garden with a peaceful and serene atmpsphere with two turtless. Jean-Gabrielle and the whole staff, especially Hayat, were very welcoming. We felt at home. The... More

Very poor breakfast (cook on holiday), only a fire when owner had friends there, 1970's hippy styling, and charged extra for paying with plastic, even though specifically asked if it would be the same as paying by cash (only found out, too late, that charged an extra 20 Euros) More

We have stayed at Riad Watier three times this year - and each time has been better than the last. My wife and I have a young daughter (7 months) and we have stayed here with both my mother and her mother, and all of us have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Jean-Gabriel, has assembled a great team in... More

We stayed for 4 nights in Riad Watier in August. The kids loved the room and we all felt very much at home. I took lots of photo's as the Riad is very pretty. JG and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and JG even drove us for 30mins to a local nature reserve where we walked down to... More
