After the hustle and bustle of marrakech it was great to come to Essaouria to enjoy the seafood and the relative calm. Can't really fault this place. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times and the room pricing was a little higher than I felt it justified but I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would return again.

What a gem! Warm rustic charming little place just inside the city walls. Great breakfast, good service, beatifully decorated and just a lovely cozy little place.

A very good and nicely decarated hotel, centrally in Essaouira. We loved the breakfast at the rooftop terrace, the excellent dinner, the nice atmosphere in the hotel and the excellent service. The room was nice and clean, but for the price we paid, we considered it a bit small.

The hotel was great, very interesting layout due to the 4 or so different (joined) houses, courtyards and so on. Food was very good. The staff were outstanding in our experience.

James Whaley-s book Flying Lobsters and Magic Tagines gave me the urge to visit Essaouira so we stayed at the Villa Maroc and loved it. Every room is different, there is no elevator so not recommended for wheel chairs!

We spent six nights at Villa Maroc - a beautiful and unique hotel in a superb location overlooking the sea. Fantastic food served in a choice of romantic, cosy dining rooms. Stunning roof terrace. Beautifully decorated throughout. Fantastic service from a welcoming and attentive team.
