We arrived late in the evening after getting lost driving around the town. Not to worry, we phoned and a staff member walked to where we were (a few blocks away) and guided us to the property. We stayed 7 days with a four year old boy. The riad is a beautiful and quiet sanctuary in the midst of a hectic mid sized Arabic town and only 3 minutes walk from the souk and the old Portuguese fort. We loved this riad itself; the rooms were lovely, food was great, and owners and staff were very gracious. We found it a bit difficult to find our way to restaurants, etc; perhaps we were just directionally challenged. But it was a quick walk to the Portugese quarter, with cisterns and ramparts. Our breakfast at this riad was very good.

Riad Soleil D'Orient is a wonderful riad in the centre of El Jadida. Oliver and Laurence, the owners, are very kind, helpful and nice. Their welcoming was warm.
