After leaving behind a high stress job of six years on the trot, I was looking for peace and tranquility, and some sense of return to myself spiritually. I took a trip to Malaysia for this and for a bit of exploring, and the visit to Sarawak and the week long stay at this resort became the return to peace... More

We stayed in a tree house. At night we opened up all the windows (the screens kept the mossies out) and slept in the jungle air. The sounds of the jungle at night were quite noisy. But it was cool enough to sleep, lovely for us as we live in Singapore and use aircon every night! The cafe was a... More

As the other cabins n accomodations looked really unmaintained. The tree house was the reason i stayed at permai. From tree house.. U can see the beach.. And beach is only... More

Based on Tripadvisor feedback, we were quite apprehensive about the Permai Rainforest Resort, but...it exceeded all expectations, We travelled as a family of 5 with 2 young children, and we occupied 2 treetop houses (number 5 and 6). Contrary to previous reviews, we found the tree houses Excellent. They are beatifully laid out, spacious, airconditioned, clean, and with the best... More

My other half and I stayed here for 2 nights in mid-March and overall I'd say our stay was PERFECT! (wouldn't say this lightly) The treehouse we stayed in was just lovely, very clean and so different (that's why we booked this unique sort of place for the weekend). It was such an experience to stay so near to all... More

My wife and I checked in for a week's stay with our two children and had one of the best experiences of our lives. From the moment we checked in the staff were friendly and eager to please. Hans, the manager was polite, friendly and professional and helped us to find the cabin that was most suitable for our family.... More

Overall Permai was a great place to stay because it's built into the rainforest. They didn't clear out an area and build houses; all of the rooms are about as close to nature as possible. We saw monkeys in the trees by the front desk both days and a hand-sized spider outside our front door one day. Hello nature. We... More
