Located almost on the the riverfront, it is also next to the small restaurants of Chinatown and just a few minutes walk to the shopping district of Kuching. Once again I chose to "flashpack" it and take the honeymoon suite by myself at MYR132 per night. I had a spacious and rather luxurious room with private ensuite and air con.... More

Stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 boys aged 10 and 13. Had our own room with aircon and en suite bathroom. Clean and welcoming. Pleasant surprise that many of the other guests were similar age with children too - it didn't feel like back packing used to 25 years ago! Great base from which to explore Kuching, Bako... More

This is a very good hostal in the middle of the city, almost on the river walkway. Excellent lounge/bar/breakfast on the terrace. Very friendly staff, plenty of information. If you are by yourself, plenty of travellors to talk to.

Charming little place and certainly a great hostel with a nice bar upstairs, but disappointed with the honeymoon-room. Downstairs, very dark, moist and smelly. Clothes stay wet in the room. We paid about the same at Lime Tree Htl, excellent breakfast included. Forget about brekki at Singgahsana.. toast with jam and Tea/coffee, that`s it - we skipped it and went... More

We had a double room with private bathroom at ground level equiped with AC. Bed and bathroom were OK but we were missing a window. It's a bit frustrating at this kind of room is at the highest price level of the lodge. Wall between the rooms were very fin and it was easy to listen to the neighbours packing... More

best location for city tour; friendly and good arrangement for sight-seeing tours or transportation; cosy, clean and beautiful in every corner. The most enjoyable moment is to spend my morning and quiet time in the breakfast place.

Great location which attracts interesting people which is good. The ground floor rooms feel damp and the upstairs ones are nicer. Staff were kind of average for a hostel with a number of travelers working there who had little local info. Breakfast is wonderbread, tea or coffee and a very little bit of fruit. Upstairs bar is nice in the... More

Great accommodation in the centre of Kuching. Comfortable beds and pillows, spotlessly clean, although the windows were small and very high on the wall. The bathroom wasn't that clean, but OK. Great facilities: internet, rooftop bar, lots of information and excellent service from the staff (eg planning trips and tours)! Excellent stay, highly recommendable.

We stayed in Singgahsana for few days. No complains at all. Spotless clean, helpful staff, very good location! Place is more expensive than other hostels in Kuching but the atmosphere and conditions here are unbeatable. We can recommend Singgahsana to everyone! The breakfast is quite simple (toasts, jam, butter and seasonal fruits) but you can get non-expensive, good meal nearby... More

Damp rooms, towels dirty, washing is expensive and they don‘t iron, no tea nor coffee free available while in other guesthouses there is, if you are late or too early for breakfast don‘t expect any servic. The bar is cool and chill but for sleeping there are much nicer and cheaper places.
