I wasnt too impressed with the stale smoke smell when I first got into the room which was quite small. The smell went away after I turned the ac. In the end it's hard to beat the value of this place when breakfast is included too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western hotel in Kota Kinabalu. The location is excellent, and you can walk to most destinations easily. The breakfast was good and our room was quiet, clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and we had no problems with anything.

We probably were in the old side of the building because our room was very basic. The bathroom was sufficient but there was no place for your beauty case or hang your clothes. Breakfast was average. Staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel is conveniently located for the ferry, shopping and restaurants. The hotel is reasonably priced.

Even if the building is horrible, this hotel provides renoved double room which have a nice view on the streets / sea.
