This hotel is a 13-floor-complex on the top of a hill. Unfortunately, it is overlooking the main road and a construction site, so the view isn't very nice. It is located 3-4 km outside of Brinchang, meaning there isn't much to do around the hotel (apart from a small market where they mainly sell strawberries). If you want to experience... more

The rooms...management, please do some 'quality control' here. Burned carpets, scratched tables...geez! It's saving grace, amazing breakfast spread...best of the best. Have to say it costs a little more but other than that, it's okay. more

There's nothing terribly wrong with the hotel. The location was good although the traffic was very heavy due to the new year's holiday. Check in was done in a breeze and they were vary accommodating to my few requests (higher floors, mountain view). The room itself is adequate. It's very spacious (took the Deluxe Room) and the basics were all... more

This hotel is OK. It's very dated but was OK for our 1 night visit to the Cameron Highlands. However I can't believe we spent the same amount on one night here as we did for one night at the E&O in Georgetown which is a world apart from the Equatorial. Our package included breakfast and an evening meal which... more

This hotel was definitely adequate but it didn't really bowl me over. The room price was OK, the food was average (and slightly overpriced in my opinion), the location was OK, the staff were friendly, the room was clean (although a little shabby) and the view was quite nice. I can't really fault the place to be honest but it... more

We stay in this hotel twice. In Dec08 and Jun09. We book the executive suite. The room is big enough to accomondate 2A and 2C with sufficient space for the kids to move around. May be this is the main hotel tower, we don't encounter much maintenance problem as others face in the apartment. The staffs are friendly and the... more

We stayed there for 2 nights after our trip to Taman Negara. We arrived all tired and hungry and ordered for room service. Since the kitchen was closed for the day, the staff went through the trouble of going to the town area and bought us some food. We were really thankful and gave him a tip, even though Malaysia... more

1. My Mother was a member of Berjaya Vacation Club. So, she plan a trip to cameron and stay at Equatorial Hotel apartment via Berjaya Vacation Club voucher. Once we got there, the receptionist was quite pleasant and very helpful. We got an apartment with 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom. But until we got there, there was so many leaking,... more

Dreadful is the only word to describe the Equatorial building in the over-developed slum that is now Cameron highlands. Like a box sitting atop a beautiful mountain the build quality is truly awful with doors bowing, refusing to close and electrical fittings falling off the wall. The service is what you expect in Malaysia..............hopeless. Poor breakfast choice and of course... more

The Equatorial in Cameron highlands is at the highest point right at the top. When I went on to my balcony the clouds were outside my window. During the day the views were spectacular. The entrance lobby was the largest I had ever seen, equal to 3 football pitches in size. There was a nice indoor swimming pool, but only... more
