We had a wonderful stay at this oasis! We did have a rocky start but we did appreciate the help from Harry. It was great when we finally got settled in to have had a number of issues sorted for us. Our room was ready and our stray bags were waiting. Dinner was ordered at Makcik cooked by Auntie. This... More

Kota Bharu was just a short three night stop on a whirlwind Malaysian experience and of all the places we visited, this has to have been one of the most memorable and cherished. We came across Pasir Belanda on trip advisor and a Tour Malaysia site and we were intrigued and excited. Pasir Belanda is located in a Kampong (village)... More

The main reason for me to choose Pasir Belanda was because of it's location. It's quietly located outside the city of Kota Bahru (10 min. by taxi = 15 MYR) and in a local village in the nature. The chalets are in a well kept nice garden. It's spotlessy clean, finally some real white towels and real white bedsheets! The... More

Pasir Belanda was a bit out of town, we arrived in the rain after a long coach trip, and a taxi was about 20 ringgits from Kota Bharu. Harry made us very welcome and out little chalets were lovely. The next morning it was idyllic, sitting on the terrace overlooking the river having breakfast. The place is so relaxing, but... More

Travelling through Malaysia and driving ourselves around as a relatively well travelled and independent couple we really liked the off the beaten track option here, and were so pleasantly surprised that the experience - wandering around the kampong was even better than we had expected. All of the info provided on the website is accurate and fair, and absolutely the... More

This is a really enjoyable place. The little wooden houses are clean and comfi (you get coffee service, fridge, etc.) surrounded by nature. I recommend renting a bike for a day (even though i founded that the rental rate was very expensive) and then a car (you'll need a car if you want to visit the area). They'll provide you... More

Spend 2 nights in Pasir Belanda. Location is very nice, real kampong life. However: beware of the very small rooms and the dangerous slippery bathroom. Also be aware that the landlady is in it for the money. Takes 50%[!] of all charges of services by locals. Makes you pay for the table tennis. Had to leave early but not prepared... More

We remember you came into our kitchen while we were preparing breakfast. We asked you to wait outside, since we regard our house and the kitchen as private area. Maybe this was not clear to you and we are very sorry that this has given you a 'not very hospitable' feeling. By the way, your statement about the 50%(!) for... More

We had a wonderful time at Pasir Belanda. The stay was very memorable both for me and my family. The chalets were well maintained and cleaned. The surroundings were well taken care of by the owner. The owner, Harry and Anna are very friendly and approachable. The activities available were just perfect for family bonding. The kids finally had a... More

We loved our short stay at Pasir Belanda...it gave us a taste of real life on a Malaysian Kampung. The chalets are private and quiet. We took some bikes out for a tour of the whole area and sat on the beach where the Japanese landed in 1942. The people are all very friendly and welcoming. The local food is... More

It was wonderful to stay here. As they say on their website: you get close to kampunglife here. We've been here with 2 young children and perfect for them too. Do cycle around, though hot, gives you great chance to view rural villages! Ever seen trained monkeys harvest coconuts? We did. Liked it a lot.
