I stayed in this lovely place recently for a week. The room was clean, airy and roomy (but the curtains could be a bit thicker to block out the lights form the garden). The staff are lovely. The food is divine: I had the eggs Benedict for breakfast almost every morning which is the best, and the evening meals were... More

Went to their restaurant a week ago & the food was absolutely devine! Portions and menu were very good. The service was great, staff are really friendly & checked on us often. The atmosphere is really relaxing & comfy. They have an awesome selection of wine as well. Couldn't have been a better night

I stayed at Casa Mia for four weeks, and felt really cared for by Peter Curtiss and his team. Nothing was too much trouble for Peter, and my comfort and and needs were his priority. A bonus was the fact that the restaurant served the best rump steak with pepper sauce I have had in a long time, and that... More

A big "thankyou" for taking the time to review us, I'm pretty sure who you are and it was a pleasure to be of service. We just changed the menu after you left, a pity you missed it because the rump steak has now been complimented by two additional sauces, which makes it even better!! Communication is the key word... I have stayed at this lodge several times. The rooms are clean, but a bit small. the decor is sparse, but adequate. The price for fro what you get though is outstanding. The restaurant is also very good. Value for money this place is one of the best in town.

I received a lovely welcome on arrival, lovely set out rooms, food was very enjoyable and would definitely recommend a stay here. Over and above all of this, the extent of help that I received when I found myself in a bit of a jam (as a first time visitor to Malawi) I have not received so much help like... More

Pete and Veronica really are the best of the best. The dinner was excellent and great value for money. Even to the extent of offering second helpings. The staff are excellent, well trained and very attentive without being too much so. Thanks Pete, Veronica and all the staff for a brilliant 7 hour lunch. PS. Cappacio was just the best... More

We also had a great day! In fact we even had time to relax after lunch. The chefs worked extra hard, just a pity about the rain. Thanks very much for taking the time to give us a review and it was an absolute pleasure to have you as our guests More

A week in Casa Mia was very pleasant - and much better - and better value - than where i previously have stayed in Blantyre. The room was just right for my needs - and the food in the restaurant was very good too. All the staff were every helpful.

Casa Mia the "hotel" is a group of rooms tagged onto the restaurant which is reputed to be one of Blantyre's best. For $85-100 you don't get much beyond the basics so manage expectations. For anyone wanting anything remotely luxurious, you will have to look to Mount Soche. While the dinners/lunches in the restaurant were nice (some starters were excellent)... More
