After Beirut walking around Byblos aka Jbeil was reasonably less nerve wracking. I had booked the King George which was badly maintained and too far out so walked into the Canari de Byblos and for a few dollars more got another world. True, it's a 10-15mins walk from the souk but it's very handy for all sorts of things: cash... More

We booked two rooms for three nights earlier this month. We bailed out after the first night. The location is horrible! You have to navigate major highways to get across before you get anywhere near the old town. It is not close at all. The rooms are big, but there are no drawers, just a closet, and a long long... We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and liked it a lot. Our room was spacious, there was enough room for an extra bed. The hotel is within 7-10 min walk from 'the old city'. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help. The hotel is a good choice in terms of value for money, location (close to... More

This new boutique hotel is cute and very well priced. I liked it a lot! 7 - 10 minute walk to the beautiful ancient city of Byblos. Wonderful view of both the city and the sea. from the balcony. I highly recommend it.

The hotel's location was great and close to everything. It was walking distance from the historical sigh and lots of nice shops close by for shopping. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the family-like atmosphere and the staff were extremely pleasant and happy to help us with whatever we needed. They are also very generous and allowed us... More

The first day we arrived, me and the rest of the group, we waited for about an hour or more to have our keys (although they knew the time of our arrival). the staff was troubled going up and down the stairs... The number of clients is more than the number of the rooms.. they did the registration of all... More

We stayed at the Canari de Byblos (pronounced can-a-ree de bee-blose) for three nights (August 12-14). The hotel is not in the center of Byblos or by the ruins, but it is about a 10 minute walk. As I believe other reviews noted, it could be a hairy walk- drivers in Lebanon are not very pedestrain friendly. Make a right... More

I agree with the "Swedish Traveler"'s Review. This place is just getting started. There's almost a feeling that they thought "Let's build a hotel!" and then bought books about building them and running them half way through the project (take that lift for example!). And some finishing needs to be improved. But its perfectly serviceable, in as good a location... More

This is a spanking new hotel. When we stayed here they were still building the second elevator. We got a bigger room high up because of a misunderstanding, no extra charge. Comfortable but you could hear the elevator every time somebody used it, and everytime someone walked in the corridor outside it was really noisy. but these are small things,... More
