We spent 2 nights at Larsen’s late last December. We had wanted to see the more arid region of Samburu and the different species that live there. However, there had been extensive rainfall following a long period of drought and when the rains came they were so torrential that the Ewaso Nyiro River had flooded. The camp had only re... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Larsens during a 3 week luxury Kenya/Tanzania safari and both of us fell in love with the charm and getting in touch with nature feeling at this location. This is not a "CAMP" per say but rather a luxury hotel with all of the necessary ammenities. Gators sometimes come up and sun themselves near... More

Larsens was a lovely place, but not as good as other camps we went to in Kenya and Tanzania. The positives were great game drives, excellent driver (Alex), nice location and warm staff. The negatives were the camp was not as nice as others, lots of bugs, pesky monkeys around the dining area. Nice pool and adequate spa. It was... More

This resort is no doubt in a very beautiful location. Feels like one is in wilderness. The staff do an excellent service.I had amy 2 year old son and my parents..Th staff took care of our needs.Just be careful with the monkeys around. If the tents are not zipped, they may enter in.The tents are very huge and spacious easy... More

Loved the tents and the location. The service was exceptional and personalised as was the food. My vegetarion friends were able to get food tailor made to their tastes. The spa is a must do. I had a massage while watching 5 elephants grazingabout 30 metres away. we found our shoes missing from the tent and were pleasently surprised when... More

We had tents bang on the river. There are 2 rows so would advise asking for the 1st overlooking the river. very nicely built and spacious tents. The food was also very good and the chef caters to speacial requests. Warning - carry very strong mosquito repellant and be sure to zip up your tents, we had a monkey come... More

I stayed at Larsens for two nights in mid-August. Though I had made my reservations many months earlier, I was put into what seemed to be a little used tent without a river view when I arrived and told that I would move the next day to one fronting the river. The tent I was in the first day had... More

My wife and I stayed at Larsens Camps during our honeymoon in May. Overall we had a great time. The camp is very well built. The rooms itself is one of the nicest we have been in during our stay in Kenya. The staff was very very friendly, and they go out of their way to make you happy. We... More

This lovely camp is along a dry river bed (in March anyway), which makes the camp itself a perfect wildlife viewing area. The tents are large and beautifully appointed; all situated with charming views. The entire staff at Larsen's was attentive, kind and very efficient. We had guided game drives with Gabriel and Jeremy, both were wonderful guides and showed... More

We appreciated the welcoming, kind, and happy Larsens team. Quite high service levels during our 2-night stay. Great location. Comfortable tents. Amazing animal viewing with Ezekiel, our super safari guide. Two tips: 1. Be prepared for Samburu’s heat and dust – quite a contrast to Nairobi and the Mara. 2. Pay attention to the electricity schedule – make full use... More
