This camp has many great advantages. Location so close to Kimana Gate is wonderful for early morning game drives and access to the swamps full of elephant. The tents are large and contain everything that you would expect from a decent hotel in a city. And the staff are all helpful, attentive and eager to make your stay enjoyable.

The "tents" were better than some hotel rooms I have seen. Yes, there may have been a few more bugs and geckos than I'm used to, but as far as camping goes, it was very plush. The tents are so beautifully decorated and high end. The bathrooms are gorgeous, with sliding doors and double sinks. Great shower. The buffet meals... More

We stayed here for two nights while on photo safari with my 12-yr-old daughter. Located right next to the entrance to Amboseli as well as at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the location was hard to beat. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are relatively new and in excellent condition. I did find myself wishing... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Kenya. This was the second night of our safari trip. We had journeyed from Tsavo East to Amboseli and had experienced Kenyan roads at their finest! Amboseli was brilliant as a reserve and we saw elephants, hippos, baboons and lions, along with a variety of other creatures. The camp was... More

Loved this camp. Rooms were very comfortable with a great view of Kilimanjaro all day long. Great food, the staff is just SO friendly that they make the stay just so comfortable and pleasant. And Esther the activities coordinator is just a doll. What a lovely woman. So avoid a hotel room and make this your place. My father, wife,... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by Kilima. When we were told we would be under canvas in Amoseli we were a little trepidatious. I've had previous experience of a tented safari camp which was challenging. This however was fabulous. The entrance was a big Wow factor & the restaurant astounding. Even the food in it was great. The rooms themselves... More

We were pleasantly surprised having not expected such a comfortable and luxurious place. The rooms/cottage/camp was real nice with nice bathrooms with showeres. The buffet style meals for breakfast , lunch and dinner were great. The bar had plenty of tusker and the people were very friendly. Seeing the Kilimanjaro all the time was a bonus. After a greta safari... More

We were pleasantly suprised by the lodge, grounds, and staff. An excellent base camp for our exploration of Ambosil. It was charming, luxurious for the location, and we encountered the best staff of any of the 5 places we stayed on our safari. I usually don't write reviews but the place deserves the extra effort.
