My wife and I, on our first trip to Japan, recently stayed for a week at the Sumireh in Sendai. It is very well located, easy walking distance to Sendai Station, a covered shopping mall, the main Post Office and a 24 hour grocery, Seiyu; it is on the edge of Tohoku University campus. “Wonderful stay, best food in Sendai”

Colleagues at Tohoku University recommended this hotel as I was interested in staying in a traditional ryokan. There are also regular rooms.
