We stayed at the Best Western Naha Inn for the first night of our Okinawa trip before heading north. Rooms are small but very clean (Surprise - it's still Japan). what can I say? It's Japan, so yeah, the rooms are small but clean. Breakfast was great and very Okinawan (e.g., pork, eggs, rice). The staff was first rate. Convenient location to airport rail. Good place for anyone working with the military. Sure, a bit of a drive, but you are closer to the sites.

Monorail is literally just outside the hotel door and across a side road [Asato station]. Excellent access to the airport via monorail, lift etc so you don't need a taxi. 300 metres away is the start of the shopping district, whilst the monorail gives you access to other parts of Naha either directly or via a short walk.
