Chisun Grand is centrally located with lots of restaurant options within walking distance. It is probably a shorter walk to the main gate of the US Naval Base than the accommodations on base. Free unlimited internet (ethernet, not WiFi) is excellent. I called to borrow and iron and ironing board and someone was knocking on my door with them in... More

Have stay in this hotel for 6 times over last few years. Great location within shopping mall and restaurant. Very Clean and big room by Japanese standard. Like the amenties provided in the toilet, very generous, like the handly soap dispenser. Have stay in other hotel. The only dislike is that no wifi in hotel lobby or room. Have to... More

I have been to Sasebo around 12 times now and I always stay at the Chisun Grand. It use to be a Holiday Inn. The Chisun has made many improvements and I always am made to feel very welcome and safe. Every thing you need is with-in walking distance. A huge street mall is one block away and the US... More

This hotel is in a great location ; near the shopping plaza, river, and more. Nice rooms, very clean. The staff is always wonderful and helpful. Free internet access instead of paying by the minute as in some larger hotels. Great place for business or pleasure.

The rooms are fairly western-style, meaning not huge but much larger than what you typically expect to see in Japan, and very comfortable. I did not feel cramped at all, and the bed was not overly hard, contrary to custom in Asian hotels. I was happy to see that there were plenty of good quality toiletries available from the front... This hotel was very clean. The style was a little older. The doors has not been updated to key cards, but still used keys. Nonetheless, the hotel was great. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely stay there again. Not to mention, the rooms were more American size then the other Japanese hotels we stayed in.

Blown away by huge room size -- nothing spectacular by western standards, but after getting used to the small (if not cramped) size of most Japanese hotels, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of Chisun Grand Sasebo. Location very central (although tucked away on a quiet side street, it was only a block away from main shopping arcade, restaurants,... More

The staff are helpful in this place. The big problem is that the hotel rooms are worn out and are not maintained. I moved out of one room on the 5th floor because the sink had a crack in it, the carpeting had big stains all over it by the desk and the was so worn out that you could... More
