The name says Tabicolle Backpacker, but it was way nicer and cosier than the name suggests. Though it's small, the owners have done a great job of adding character to the place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless.They also provide free tea/coffee and toast with butter and jam for breakfast. Some travellers may be put off by the traditional sleeping arrangements and sharing of the bathroom, nevertheless, this is definitely a hostel to check out it you're spending a few nights in Fukuoka.

I arrived at 10pm and check in was quick. The youth hostel website has a map that is easy to follow. It was only a 20 min walk from Hakata Station. Great as I had to walk back to the station for a highway bus leaving at 7am the next morning. Convenience store and supermarket nearby. There were free toast... More
