We stayed 2 nights at Fu-Sha cottage in October 2010. Amazing hospitality and cute cozy accommodation but very spacious at the same time, perfect! Yoshiko was a wonderful host, so willing to make sure our 2 days in Nikko were special. We will certainly return one day, what an experience, thank you!!

I visited Japan in february 2009. The cottage is absolutely the best, is warm and cozy, the lady who owns it is the most sweetest person I´ve met. My husband and I where to stay just 1 night and we liked it so much that we extend the stay for 2 nights and ask her to make us a typical... More

We stayed in Nikko Cottage in June 2010 for one night, and wish we could have stayed longer!! Everything was perfect, from the lovely traditional decor to the hospitality of the owner. Yoshiko kindly offered to drive us to several places and gave us lots of valuable information to make our stay unforgettable. Thank you!

We stayed in Nikko Cottage in November 2011. We had read so many wonderful reviews and booked to stay for two nights. Upon our arrival we were greeted by smiling Yoshiko who picked up up from the station and drove us to the cottage. The cottage was beautifully prepared, warm and cozy. There was plenty of room for ourselves and... More

You must stay at least a couple of days in this great place. Your own Japanese style house in the beautiful area of Nikko. Clean and comfortable with the most technically advanced toilet you'll ever see. The host goes out of her way to help you anyway she can. Recommended!

We stayed in Nikko Cottage Inn Fu-Sha in early March 2011. Thank you to all the previous reviewers who recommended it so much. We were not disappointed with the comfortable cottage and the wonderful hospitality. It is a short walk from the centre of town along a quiet riverfront street. As it was quite cold and snowing when we arrived,... More

Everything you have read in the other reviews is correct. Yoshiko is a wonderful host. She met us at the train station and attempted to drive us everywhere we wanted to go. She was very helpful with our itinerary, checking what we wanted to see, and advising on the best use of time. She checked everything for us on the... More

This is a privately run, detached cottage with Japanese style rooms, kitchenette and a laptop with wifi! Yoshiko, the owner, obligingly provided station transport in her car and also drove us to the temple site and restaurants on both evenings. She provided fruits, yogurt and buns for breakfast and arranged our restaurant bookings. The cottage is within walking distance of... More

A lovely couple of days being looked after by Yoshiko at Fu-Sha. She couldn't do enough to help us, and even picked us up at the station in the rain, not even knowing which train we were arriving on! Very cosy room (we stayed in the room which is part of their house), very clean, and a beautiful area.

Nikko is a great break/ side trip from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Though we arrived very late in November, and the peak autumn tourist season was over, we could still admire the many red leaves on the trees there. It is a very lovely place to visit indeed. We used the Tobu Nikko pass which covered the return... More
