good for family. We had a 4 beds rooms and the beds have wheels and so are moveable. Good location. 5 mins walk form the river and very close to JR station. We paid the hotel a few hundred yens and park the car in the hotel even after checked out.

I continued to stay here and further acquaintance improved my view of it. The hotel breakfast was excellent and good value. The front desk staff were very helpful. You can open your window a bit. You get free milk in the afternoon.

Japanese low-budget are generally better than the equivalent elsewhere. I arrived in Otaru a 4:30 am by ferry and needed a sleep. I was charged an extra day to get in before 15:30. Changed the overall value. No wireless.

Very close to the JR station but relatively further from the downtown (which is actually a good thing so we didn't need to carry our luggage too far from JR station). We got a semi-double room for 2 people which was really small but managable for one night. Same as most other Japanese hotels/Inns, they have everything: shampoo, conditioner, shower...
