Friendly bed and breakfast, with an owner who speaks quite reasonable English. We recommend this place to anyone.

Western-style ryokan with its own breakfast cafeteria downstairs. Rooms are decent, has a nice garden in the back, and the manager is friendly and speaks a little english. Facilities are decent, and the inn has a nice atmosphere. Good location to - very convenient location for the Mt. Hakodate cable-car as well.

What a find this was. We were made super welcome here and nothing was too much trouble :) We went in low season and there weren't many people around. As such we were given the room that sleeps 6-8 (only 2 of us) and had plenty of space. The futons were comfy and we had ample pillows/bedding. Being given towels... More

We booked two rooms on the second floor overlooking the inner courtyard. The 2-story B&B is just a few minutes from the streetcar station. Its about 2 miles west of the JR Hakodate station. The friendly lady inn-keeper provided us with detailed sightseeing information. Can't speak Japanese? Not a problem. She is fluent in English. Beds are western style-quite comfortable.... More
