20 minute walk from the train station or wait for the free hotel shuttle. Many small restaurants/izaka in surrounding area. Free, hot bowl of noodle in the evening. Very nice onsen, friendly staff, reasonable rates, free internet in the lobby. Convenience store next door to purchase food and sundries. Enjoyed our stay there.

I slept 4 days in Economy semi-double room(alone), and i paid for it 14000 yen! I loved free hot bath. Every employee was kind. Clean and comfortable.

Stayed there for one night January, 2009. Dormy Inn Niigata was about 10 minutes of walk from the Niigata JR station but it felt more like 20 mins if you tried to walk there on a bitterly cold night.
