We usually do lots of research prior to our Japan trips and we had singled out this hotel and location as one of interest. This large hotel is situated a way out from the center of Gifu on the Nagara river. Typical of many large Japanese hotels it seems to specialize in weddings and events, along with some tourist business. The service is excellent, and staff do speak some English. The room prices are reasonable.
