After very pleasant accomodations and highly trained staff in SA, the Chrismar was very disappointing. If this was not a tourist destination I wouldn't have expected the same level of accomodations. I have traveled to remoter parts of Africa and realize we can't expect the same level of comfort. However, this is a very busy tourist destination and the price... More

I went there on the Easter holiday, with my wife & my friends' family,we booked 2 double rooms, we traveled for 450 km,when arriving we found that they reserved one room only. Before checking in we were obliged to pay for two nights because of the hotel policy. At the reception the sits are teared & old, you feel that it... More

My stay was work related as I was attending a refresher training workshop. All the staff were extremely courteous, attentive and friendly. As the area is hot and humid, the hotel is very attentive to requests for extras to make life comfortable for the guests. I enjoyed the variety of meals and the inclusion of local staples and use of... More

I spent 9 days at this hotel and after 2 days, all the staff were calling me by name. We held a 5-day training at Chrismar and it was a great set-up (conference room opened up to the pool and outdoor eating area) and had a nice community feel. The staff were flexible and accommodating to every request. It is... More

I once went to lodge at a certain hotel in the copperbelt and i had seen lots of great standards that gave a bigger view on how we have developed , in relation to Chrismar Livingstone Stone- this place gives you a unique class mixed with a creative touch of native and foreign standards... lots can be said and i... This hotel will provide you with the worst customer service experience you will ever have in your life. The staff is callous, artless, and crass. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, quite unattractive and unkempt. Kathy, the Front Office Manager, is absolutely hopeless at mitigating the fact that the hotel is not a four star establishment, mismanages online... More

While we didn’t actually get the opportunity to stay at the Chrismar Hotel in Livingstone, I believe that my families experience this past New Years Eve is extremely relevant to anyone who is thinking about reserving a room there. Especially if you are travelling to Zambia from somewhere outside of Africa. This is going to be a somewhat lengthy post,... More
