The River Club is really a top notch lodge to stay at Livingstone. Owner managed with a longstanding team of staff... so much character and not your average bush lodge... more a stylish getaway where you can either be very busy doing plenty activities or just laze around doing very little. The rooms are all very comfortable and well thought... More

We stayed at the River Club for 2 nights. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the view was nice. On the negative side, I just didn't find the River Club to provide good value. While there wasn't one major issue that leads me to this conclusion, it's a combination of lots of little things. I found the... More

Our only regret is that due to plane schedule we couldn't stay longer. The grounds are beautiful. The views from your suites are breath-taking. You are lured to sleep with the hippos grunting. They sound like they are right below your suite. The lodge and grounds have the looks and feels as if you were stepping back in time to... More

The River Club was an excellent start to an excellent African vacation. The location is one of the prettiest I have ever seen - overlooking the Zambezi River. It is stunning. The staff is also unbelievably helpful. They oriented us to the trips we were able to take (most are included in the stay). I'd highly recommend the helicopter ride... More

We stayed at the River Club for three nights in the middle of our first 'African Safari' holiday. My only regret was that we did not save it until last and increased our time there. After three very different camps where we were spoilt and happy with our stays, we arrived at River Club. What can I say. It was... More

My family and I completed our picture safari to South Africa by spending 2 nights at the lovely River Club outside of Victoria Falls. Two nights was not enough! We were welcomed by the owner, Peter, who skippered us down the Zambezi River to an intimate island spot for a bite to eat. The surprises, heart felt level of service... More

What an amazing place, the River Club! Being our first trip to Africa we had planned to stay at three different kinds of camps. We chose The River Club as our first stop and it gave us a good idea of what to expect or more precisely, what we ought to expect for the rest of our trip. Peter, Jacqui,... More

We stayed at the River Club with family for a couple nights. Such a beautiful location looking down onto the Zambezi river that gives you a great view up the river and looking onto Zimbabwe. The lodges are along the side of the hill looking down onto the river, they are double story with the bathroom and shower below with... More

The River Club on the Zambezi River was our first "camp" in Africa and it did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the friendly staff at the Livingstone Airport and transferred by van and boat to the camp, with a viewing along the way of a multitude of hippos sunning themselves on an island beach. Our accommodations were immaculate and... More

My husband and I were blessed to have 3 wonderful nights at the River Club during our African Adventure Honeymoon. It was even more spectacular than the photo's we'd seen prior to our visit. Sunset cruises on the Zambezi, fishing on the Zambezi, dinner out under the stars by candlelight, incredible 5* food, the best south african wines... ***** We... More
