We just returned from a 3 night stay at the resort, the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are charming, the location is ok, however, the charges are exhorbatent! They charge for everything with ridiculous prices, even water at breakfast, lunch consisting of 3 sandwiches and sodas was almost $100! I personally would not stay there again, I believe there are... Spending 3 nights of our honeymoon here, I was a little concerned after reading some reviews, but we had a fabulous experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, all rooms have a balcony & overlook the Zambezi which is great, our spacious room had a 4 poster bed, separate bathroom with bath and shower, complimentary bottles of water each... I took my family consisting of three kids aged 5-11 as well as my wife on a three day visit to Victoria Falls - there is literally a plethora of places to stay if you browse the internet and I don't really have anything to compare it with as it was a first visit to that area. On its own... More

After reading some of the comments below, we were a little worried about what we would get. And what we got far exceeded our expectation. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Prices are expensive, but you are in a tourist lodge, it is to be expected. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again!

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a holiday through southern Africa. Our room was neat and tidy, located at the far end of the resort. Unfortunately, due to mosquitoes and the resident velvet monkeys, we were unable to open our balcony door to enjoy the river views but this can be expected when your hotel is... More

We sent 3 days here at the end of our African holiday and it was a great place to wind down and relax. We did a number of excursions arranged via the activity centre and enjoyed the hospitality in the hotel bar and restaurant. Staff were pleasant and attentive.

While the lodge itself is beautiful and the grounds well kept, the staff was absolutely horrid from start to finish! When checking in they had the bellhop do two trips to get our luggage up rather than use their bellman cart. We were booked on a ride on their Lady Livingston sunset cruise for the second night we were there,... More

Stayed here late October 2011. Efficient hotel with friendly staff and good sized rooms kept clean and stocked. Well placed for the excursions we went on to The Falls and of course their sunset cruise on the river. These were both very good. The only negative from our viewpoint was the food, which was god, but we had three nights... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We had our honeymoon in Africa: Cape Town, Kruger, Livingstone, Cape Town again, Singapore. As I write this review we are back in Cape Town for the last leg of the trip. Everywhere has been fantastic, except the David Livingstone in Zambia. Great spot on the river, however the hotel has the worst service I have... More
