This hotel has only 6 rooms but designed in traditional style with all wooden facilities. Large room with only one window overlooking the old streets - some little light lacking but modern facilities inside. There's a large "light well" in the middle of the hotel like the simple architecture in Hoi An. Many restaurants are available at your footsteps. The... More

I stayed at the Vinh Hung 1 with my two children and was impressed by both the beautiful atmosphere and the lovely manner of the staff. The 125 year old Chinese trading house has been made into a tasteful hotel complete with antique furniture. While the hotel is dark I felt the lightning was evocative of another period in time... the fantastic place to enjoy Vietnamese - Chinese traditional atmosphere, good room even the furniture is not new. The lady owner was really fantastic and always be welcoming to all the guest. The place is in the center of Hoian town with very many shops and bars. The night with lanterns was the great memory of the day and we... More

We love hotels full of character and quirkiness but also enjoy the basic luxuries in life ! So choosing a hotel that was said to be Highly recommended we were excited to see this hotel This hotel deffinately falls short of being number 1 , it's only pro is its location ! It is dark and dingy beyond the point... More

This is a wonderful building with impressive decor, wood panelling and antique Chinese charm but unfortunately we could not cope with the musty, damp smell and the rats scratching at the doors and windows and ceiling space ( sounding the size of monkeys) during the night meant that we had to leave. The staff were very helpful and moved us... More

First impression is very dark and moody and ambient, which is fine to look at but not to stay in! We were given a downstairs room, it was damp and smelt musty and what's more no windows! Solid wood pannelled room with stone tiled floors, the bed was damp, there was a sliding partition that opened into the hotel, but... More

Maybe you will read the review here below too, yes it is dark, dark red wood, as original old houses are. Yes, it was musty, no wonder after 3 weeks of flood, so the basement was more than 1 m under water, so I was really astonished that most of the watermarks are already removed and the hotel was operating... We spent 6 nights in Hoi An . 2 At this Hotel. Its solid mahogany! No insulation and therefore noisy in the front rooms . The scooters start early in Hoi An and you will hear every one of them. We had the room Michael Cain used as a dressing room during his stay and also stayed in a room... More

This converted old Chinese traders house and boutique hotel is just amazing and it is a must if you want to stay in the Old Town Centre and absorb some history and atmosphere. The attention to detail and the antique furniture tells its own stories. You awake to see the locals at their daily routine before the masses of tourists... More
